Dear ANZSRS colleagues and friends,
It is with great sadness to inform you that Dr Maureen Swanney passed away yesterday following a brief and aggressive illness. She passed peacefully, under her own terms in her own home and surrounded by her family. Maureen had an exceptional career and contributed extensively to the advancement of respiratory science, locally, nationally and internationally. Maureen also had a tremendous ability to support, encourage, bring people together and to get things done. She was generous with her time and knowledge and wasa great friend to many of us.
She will be terribly missed. A service is being held at 10am Wednesday 20th Feb Westpark Chapel, Christchurch.
