Thank you to our guest speakers and those who attended the last Branch meeting on the 17th of July. We heard from Dr Robert Carroll who is an advanced trainee from Logan Hospital. Robert presented two case studies; the first one regarding contraindications and how he was able to achieve meaningful data on a patient with a pneumothorax and the second case study highlighted the importance of KCO and it’s sensitivity in detecting pulmonary haemorrhage.
Next up we had Courtney Jarret, a respiratory and sleep scientist from Royal Brisbane Hospital. Courtney also presented a very interesting case study on pulmonary glue embolism and what this does to an individual’s lungs.
