Thank you to everyone who attended our last branch meeting for 2019, also a big thank you to our Sponsor, Ascencia.
First up we had our guest speaker, Dr Henry Marshall who presented on Smoking Cessation and the role that we need to play to help our patients in this process. Dr Marshall went over what works, the barriers patients experience and the future direction in smoking cessation.
Next up we discussed the new Spirometry guidelines, which was published in October of this year. A lot of important points were raised which included; contraindications, quality control, inspiratory loops and the new grading system. I have attached the slides for both presentation if you would like to re-visit them.
Our last event for 2019 is our Christmas Party on the 6thof December starting from 5pm at the Norman Park Bowls club. I look forward to seeing everyone there and celebrating the great year that was!
