Hello Visitor,

NZ Branch Chair Position

Unfortunately there were no volunteers/nominations for the role of Branch Chair following Laura vacating the position last year; as such I have taken on the role in the interim with
Manjunath Shenoy from Counties Manukau DHB coming on board as Vice Chair, with
a view to transitioning into the lead position sometime next year. The Branch Chairs main job is to act as a link between the Board and the membership so we will do our best to keep you informed of the latest news, additionally, if you have any queries please get in touch and I’ll do my best to answer or forward on to the relevant Board member. My email is ewan.morris@waitematadhb.govt.nz

Branch Meeting: Queenstown 15/16 August

Registration is open for our annual meeting in August; full programme details can be found here https://outshine.eventsair.com/tsanz-19/ of note is that the earlybird prices are available up until the 7th July. There are a number of different registration options this year, including shared accommodation choices, to try and make the meeting as affordable as possible, particularly as there has been a scheduling change from previous years that makes it difficult to make the start of the meeting on the Thursday depending on where you are located thus requiring an extra nights accommodation. If you have any feedback on this or any other aspects of the meeting please let me know.

As usual there will be a New Investigator Award session which is open to both TSANZ and ANZSRS members, with prizes of $1100 and $600 for first and second places. So if anyone has recently undertaken their first research project please think about sharing your results
at the meeting, it would be great to have ANZSRS representation again. 250 word abstracts need to be submitted for consideration of the award and need to be completed by the 14th July, full details are available on the meeting website.

Look forward to catching up with as many of you as possible there.

Thanks

Ewan
