Hello Visitor,
Please see the below update from TSANZ:
TGA notification of cross-sensitivity errors within O2 and CO2 sensors within Exhalyzer D washout equipment
The TSANZ is aware of the recent TGA notification regarding accuracy of CO2 and O2 sensors within the Ecomedics Exhalyzer D multiple breath washout systems distributed in Australia and New Zealand by Ascencia Healthcare facilitators.
Those who own this equipment should have received correspondence from Ascencia regarding this issue in-line with an agreed approach with the TGA. If you have yet to have received that correspondence, please contact Ascencia directly.
The TSANZ will be hosting an information sharing webinar commencing at 430 pm AEST on Monday 13 September. Representatives from Ascencia will provide a summary of their planned steps to support customers. This will be followed by an open discussion that will include senior researchers and clinicians who have significant experience using this equipment and have an understanding of the technical, research and clinical issues that arise from this type of issue.
Members of TSANZ and ANZSRS are welcome to register and engage in a moderated discussion.
Regards
TSANZ Office
Kind regards,
