Hello Visitor,
We were delighted with the response we received from the recent TSANZ/ANZSRS member survey regarding the 2022 TSANZSRS Virtual ASM. We would like to acknowledge all those that took the time to complete the survey. The outcomes have been discussed by the organising committee and had a direct influence on the kind of program we are planning for 2022.
Program
The majority of respondents voted for 3 sessions per day with a preference for 3-day Annual Scientific Meeting. Members preferred the Meeting be held entirely on weekdays (28.24%), mostly weekdays (26.47%) or evenly split across weekdays and the weekend (24.71%); as such we are pleased to confirm the 2022 meeting will take place from Thursday March 31st until Saturday April 2nd. The morning was noted to be the preferred time of the meeting and we will try to accommodate this where possible as we factor on the differing time zones across Australia and New Zealand.
Abstracts
The committee have noted a strong (80.71%) preference for a combination of oral (8 mins) and poster (4 mins) presentations and they will be working to factor this into the program. Please note, abstract submission closes Friday November 5th; if you haven’t already submitted your abstract, please register here.
Hubs
Unsurprisingly, over 77% of respondents were interested in attending a local joint TSANZ and ANZSRS face to face hub, where local restrictions allowed it. We will be working closely with TSANZ and ANZSRS Branches across Australia and New Zealand to develop these hubs. They will most likely take place on Saturday April 2nd to highlight the joint TSANZ/ANZSRS sessions, allow local presentations and of course, some much anticipated networking during breaks and a social function. Keep an eye on the Meeting website for more details.
We remain committed to delivering the most effective and engaging virtual program possible and we thank you again for your continued support.
Warm regards
Professor John Upham Mr Danny Brazzale
President, TSANZ President, ANZSRS
